Some days just fall into place

For the past few days at work, I've been involved in some advanced databasery that has thrown me so far out of my comfort zone that I can't even see my comfort zone any more. At the beginning of the morning today, I was about ready to throw in the towel. By the end of the afternoon, it had all come together.

I don't know why, but it was one of those days that just went right.

Perhaps the weather had something to do with it. We had a bright, fine day that really felt like spring.

Perhaps it was because I happened to sleep very well last night. I must've been well-rested because I wasn't completely exhausted by 4:30pm as often happens. My concentration didn't let up throughout the day, and I actually left the office feeling energized. I don't remember when that last happened.

Even starting the day with Sugar Rush from the Wreck-It Ralph soundtrack stuck in my head didn't ruin things. Over the course of the day, my mental jukebox progressed to a couple of zircon tracks: Throwdown and then Nitronic, that latter track being highly suitable for my mood today.

The weather is forecast to take a turn for the worse over the next couple of days, but I hope it doesn't bring my winter blues back.

My daily Bible verse for the day happened to be:

This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24

Amen!
