Glitches
We had a power cut at work today. It wasn't just us, either; the traffic lights outside weren't working. Probably some workmen drilled through a cable. Of course, in my line of work, not much work can be done when the power's out. It came back on again after a couple of hours, so the day wasn't a total loss.

My vision is acting up. When I move my eyes, I sometimes see horizontal lines, like the scanlines on a CRT television. They fade after a split second, and it doesn't happen all the time. I've been a bit tired and headachy today; it's probably all related.

We get the occasional power cut in the office (almost always immediately followed by the air turning very blue, a lot of the art team don't save as often as they should).

The thing that always gets me when it happens is how silent the office is without 150 PC's switched on. It's almost eerie. You don't notice how high the level of background noise is until it's gone.

I know what you mean. If the office hadn't been lit by skylights, we could all have sat around in a circle with a maglight and told ghost stories.
